Aloha! Mine eyes have seen the glory of this 3" silent supertape. I am a lifelong 2" cheap tape user and this 3" luxurious but practical tape made me a convert. The attributes that sold me: tape has NO SMELL and is totally SILENT; both pleasures I didn't know I was missing! Also, it significantly increases the structural integrity of large heavy packages.

I'm reviewing this tape because, apparently, this is who I am now. A grown man with strong opinions about packing tape.
And I hate to admit it, but this stuff is pretty great.
Strength-wise, it feels the same as the tape I was already using. Same thickness, same confidence that when I put it on a box, it’s actually going to stay there instead of peeling up later like it’s trying to escape responsibility.
But the big thing is the noise.
Or more accurately, the lack of noise.
When my wife and I are packing orders, normal packing tape is basically a conversation canceling device. She’ll start talking, I’ll pull the tape gun, and suddenly all I hear is that violent tape-ripping scream. So over the years we’ve naturally learned to have conversations in the tiny gaps between taping boxes like we’re communicating during artillery fire.
With this tape, that’s gone.
It’s quiet. Like… suspiciously quiet.
At first it almost feels like I’m not working. It’s probably the packing equivalent of jumping into an electric car for the first time after driving something with a V8. Part of you misses the rumble. Part of you thinks, “Well this is disappointing.” And then the other part of you realizes… wait, this is actually kind of nice.
It pulls smooth, sticks well, doesn’t make the shipping room sound like a goose fight, and somehow it’s slightly cheaper than what I was already buying.
So now I have quieter tape, fewer interruptions, and apparently no excuse for not hearing my wife.
I’m still deciding if that’s a feature or a liability.
Either way, this tape gets a thumbs up from me.
This tape is much better than American Bubble Boy. It is thicker and works better in a tape gun. When I run out of 2" tape I will be buying my tape here in the 3" tape.
